Experienced Social Worker - Children Looked After - Locum - Exeter, UK - Earn up to £44 Hourly

We have an exciting locum opportunity for two Experienced Social Workers to join our Exeter team, working 37 hours per week to support children and young people under our care provisions. You will focus on family-led outcomes, build solid relationships with children, young people, and their families, and deliver exceptional social work practice. This vital role demands high standards and a proactive approach, ensuring that outcomes for children and young people are consistently improved without drift or delay.

What you will do:
- Conduct and deliver comprehensive assessments to determine the needs and desires of children and young people.
- Engage and collaborate with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure safety and stability.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all cases and develop effective plans tailored to individual needs.
- Navigate and perform in court environments, providing skilled evidence and representing the welfare of children.
- Ensure that all social work practices comply with relevant legislation and policy.

Your skills and experience will include:
- A social work qualification with registration from Social Work England.
- Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Adeptness in managing complex cases within social care contexts, collaborating with multi-agency partners.
- Provision of effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Solid understanding of relevant children’s social work legislation, models, and theories.
- Ownership of a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
