  • 1x Permanent, Full-Time
  • 1x Fixed Term/Secondment, Full-Time

Their team is passionate and supportive, committed to the impact of occupational therapy on the diverse range of individuals they work with. They embrace an agile working approach, with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office for full-time staff.

About the Team:

Join a supportive, skilled, and creative team that values a strong work ethic, honesty, and reliability. They are looking for pragmatic, driven, and creative Occupational Therapists who are eager to make a difference. This role offers a competitive starting salary equivalent to a Band 6 OT in a healthcare setting. Newly qualified OTs can benefit from their supportive preceptorship programme. They also support flexible working patterns to help with work-life balance.

Their team provides numerous training courses to enhance your knowledge and enable you to deliver a service you can be proud of. They offer informal daily supervision, regular formal supervision, and practical tools to help manage your work. While they encourage autonomy, you will never be expected to work in isolation.

About the Role:

You will work with clients who have diverse and/or complex needs using a strength-based approach. Clients may be elderly and frail, have learning disabilities, physical or sensory impairments, or experience mental ill health. This varied role will help you develop a wide range of skills, enabling you to deliver holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care setting. You will conduct assessments, such as moving and handling risk assessments, to support and empower clients to lead meaningful lives within the community.

In this community-based role, you will work closely with team members and other organisations to provide an integrated service supporting vulnerable adults and their carers. You will visit clients primarily in their homes, as well as in residential care and nursing homes.

Shortlisting Criteria:

To be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate:

  • Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working within a social care, health, or community-focused multi-disciplinary setting
  • Ability to complete person-centred and proportionate OT assessments
  • Familiarity with moving and handling equipment such as hoists and stand aids
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and their likely impact on individuals, carers, and families
  • Understanding of current legislation, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act, and their application in a social care setting

Rewards and Benefits:

  • 26 days' holiday (prorated for part-time staff), rising to 28 days after 2 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service
  • Option to buy up to 10 days of additional annual leave
  • Extensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support health and wellbeing
  • Up to 5 days of carer’s leave per year
  • Paternity, adoption, and dependants leave
  • Generous local government salary-related pension
  • Lifestyle discounts including gym, travel, shopping, and more
  • 2 paid volunteering days plus 1 team volunteering day per year
  • Learning and development hub with a wealth of resources

If you are ready to join a team that is passionate about making a difference, we encourage you to apply now through Sanctuary Personnel for this rewarding opportunity.
