Job Overview:

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join our client's dynamic Neurological Service based in Gloucester. 

  • As post holder of this role you will be demonstrating specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management. Undertake audits and contribute to research in the provision of treatments.
  • Lead group therapeutic group sessions, helping people develop and improve their speech and communication. Building one-to-one rapport with service users, you will encourage engagement and empower recovery.
  • Have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
  • With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.

Requirements of the role:

  • Degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy, certified by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Postgraduate training in a specialist area or equivalent experience.
  • Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council and RCSLT.
  • Advanced Practitioner in Dysphagia
  • Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
  • Experience of working with families
  • Evidence of continuing Professional Development
