Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker/AMHP within the Mental Health Team to work Full Time based in Bromley.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker/AMHP job is up to £56,327per annum.
Main duties:
- Assist and participate in the management of the Duty service and act as Duty Senior.
- Undertake the safeguarding adult manager role and role or enquiry officer as defined in the Pan London Safeguarding Procedures.
- Undertake strength-based assessments for adults and their carers. Offer support and advice as appropriate to Adults and their Carers.
- Initiate and co-ordinate support plans for and with Adults and their Carers, in conjunction with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies.
- As necessary, ensure that work is allocated, transferred or concluded, in accordance with procedures.
- Develop and support self and staff learning.
- Monitor and review the needs and support plans of adults and their carers.
- Maintain client records in accordance with Council policy and professional standards.
- Respond to and where possible resolve complaints in line with the Council’s complaints procedure.
- Work across different teams within the Division as and when needed.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.
- Ensure Adults and Carers are able to represent their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communicators or translators when appropriate.
- Co-ordinate, participate and where appropriate chair, case conferences and planning meetings.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary and inter-agency meetings and working groups and represent the Department as required.
- Supervise, support and appraise staff in line with policy as agreed with line manager.
- Ensure that information required on adult records is completed before authorising or closing to ensure statutory reporting data is accurate.
- Contribute to service development by providing information and ideas for improved and/or more efficient ways of providing a service.
Requirements of this Senior Social Worker/AMHP role:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- Relevant experience of working in adult social care with vulnerable adults in the community and/or hospital settings.
