Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Adult Learning Disability Team to work Full Time based in Bromley.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker job is up to £50,063 per annum.
Main duties:
- Assist and participate in the management of the Duty service and act as Duty Senior.
- Undertake the safeguarding Adult Manager role and tole of enquiry officer as defined in the Pan London Safeguarding Procedures.
- Undertake strength-based assessments for adults and their carers. Offer support and advice as appropriate to Adults and their Carers.
- Initiate and co-ordinate support plans for and with Adults and their Carers, in conjunction with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies.
- As necessary, ensure that work is allocated, transferred or concluded, in accordance with procedures.
- Develop and support self and staff learning.
- Monitor and review the needs and support plans of adults and their carers.
- Maintain client records in accordance with Council Policy and professional standards.
- Respond to and where possible resolve complaints in line with Council’s complaints procedure.
- Work across different teams within the Division as and when needed.
- Ensure Adults and Carers are able to represent their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communicators or translators when appropriate.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary and inter-agency meetings and working groups and represent the Department as required.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.
Requirements of this Senior Social Worker role:
- A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
