Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Work Practitioner within the Child Care Management Team to work full time based in Pembrokeshire.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Work Practitioner job is up to £43,496 per annum.
Main duties:
- To undertake specialist skilled work with a number of children/young people and their families who represent complex problems, as designated by the CIN Manager.
- To take part in the duty manager rota offering advice and guidance to team members as required.
- To supervise designated Team Managers and assist with their general professional development.
- To assist with and, where appropriate, initiate specific service developments (Including Group Work, Self Help and Support Groups)
- To undertake specialised skilled work with a number of children/young people and their families who represent complex problems, as designated by the Team Manger.
- To deputise for the Duty Managers in respect of operational guidance during their absence through leave/sickness or other planned reason.
- To supervise designated team members and assist with their general professional development.
- To assist with and, where appropriate, initiate specific service develops in relation to multi agency working.
- The Senior Social Work Practitioner will be expected to carry a caseload to include these children/young people and families who present complex situations and where well-developed social work practice skills are required. It is not expected that all such cases will be allocated to the Senior Practitioner.
- Supervision of social workers which will include, directing and managing social workers caseloads where applicable with the Duty Manager. Promoting staff’s professional practice development. Providing positive and constrictive feedback. Providing daily advice, guidance and direction in case difficulties. Co-working in difficult and specific pieces of social work.
- Practice Assessor and or Practice Facilitator for Student Social Workers on placement.
Requirements of this Senior Social Work Practitioner job:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registered.
