Sanctuary Personnel have exciting career development opportunities for experienced Senior Registered Nurses at our client's beautiful Neurological Care Centre based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Our client is a specialist neurological care centre in Ipswich, dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of individuals aged 18 and over with various neurological conditions. Their focus is on maximising independence and providing comprehensive support to meet emotional and social needs. Across their assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals, they employ expert neurorehabilitation to significantly improve the lives of those with neurological conditions or brain injuries.

About the Role

As their Senior Nurse, you will lead a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, holistic care through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will oversee the performance management of clinical staff in line with organisational policies, covering recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.

Duties

  • Responsible for providing leadership, support, and supervision to team members
  • Educates service users, carers, families, and colleagues, fostering a learning environment
  • Maintains accurate and timely records in compliance with legislation and policies
  • Applies legal policies supporting vulnerable adult identification and care
  • Actively pursues professional development and supports staff in their learning and growth
  • Ensures adherence to all organisational policies and procedures

About You

  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
  • Understanding of best clinical practices for our client group
  • Demonstrable experience in self-directed practice
  • Strong communication skills, capable of managing difficult conversations with service users and their families
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective change management abilities
  • Capability to provide clinical teaching and mentorship
  • NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience
  • Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training, or willingness to undertake it
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development

Enhancements

  • Night shifts: 30% additional pay (8.00 pm to 6.00 am)
  • Weekend shifts: 30% additional pay (Friday midnight to Sunday midnight)
