Band 7 Senior Nurse Practitioner - ADHD/CAMHS Team

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Senior Nurse Practitioner for the Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Guernsey. The role focuses on providing care for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD, in a multidisciplinary setting. You will ensure integrated care delivery in collaboration with various agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Patient/Service User Care
- Deliver evidence-based care and coordinate complex assessments.
- Develop and evaluate care plans based on patient needs.
- Safeguard patient welfare, manage incidents, and escalate concerns.
Communication
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and staff.
- Ensure clear, accurate records and promote effective team communication.
Leadership
- Lead care teams, promote high standards, and advocate for patients.
- Conduct appraisals, support staff development, and manage recruitment.
Planning & Organisation
- Lead shift planning and allocate resources effectively.
- Delegate activities based on staffing and patient needs.
Policy & Service Development
- Lead service improvements and contribute to policy development.
- Ensure adherence to policies and best practices.
Professional Development & Research
- Supervise and mentor staff, and lead research initiatives.
- Promote continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC).
- Experience with neurodevelopmental disorders and CAMHS.
- Proficiency in DBT, CBT, and Systemic Therapy.
- Full driving licence and leadership experience.
Desirable:
- Management qualification (Level 5+).
- Ongoing CPD commitment.
