Job Title: SEND Officer (Part-Time Job Share)

Hours: 3 days per week (Job Share)
Pay Rate: £29.55 per hour (via umbrella)
About the Role
Sanctuary Personnel is looking for an experienced SEND Officer, SENCO, or SEN Teacher to convene and chair annual reviews for a caseload of individuals under the responsibility of the Local Authority. This includes Elective Home Educated children and young people, those subject to Education Other than at School or College, and young people who are not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET).
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the annual review process, making informed decisions, and amending Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where necessary.
Full training and induction will be provided to familiarise you with council processes, supporting your success in the role.
Key Responsibilities
As a SEND Officer, your duties will include:
- Convening and chairing annual reviews for individuals within your caseload.
- Managing the annual review process and making key decisions.
- Amending EHCPs in line with council procedures and relevant legislation.
Essential Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Familiarity with the annual review process and decision-making related to EHCPs.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a job share arrangement.
