Salary: £27,449 to £31,529 Per annum
Main purpose of the role:
- Engage with a range of individuals in Birmingham who have adopted a ‘street-basedlifestyle’ including rough sleepers and beggars with a view to engaging them in appropriate services and moving them into more settled lifestyles.
- Increase service user choice, service user involvement and empower service users to maintain sustainable change; working collaboratively and proactively to ensure that services are fully coordinated and are working collectively towards the achievement of goals and positives outcomes for each individual client.
- Build and develop service users’ personal strengths and social networks in the UK and/or in the individual’s country of origin.
- Establish effective communication and referral pathways for those individuals who are homeless and in contact with other health and care agencies
- Working closely with the local authority, Health & social care sector, partners and any provision linked to Homelessness and improve joint working
- Provide a range of flexible and effective interventions to engage with hard-to-reach service users.
Requirements of the Outreach Recovery Coordinator:
- Recent experience working within Recovery/Substance Misuse
- Recent experience working as a Substance Misuse Worker/Practitioner, Recovery Worker, Recovery Practitioner, Recovery Coordinator, Drug Worker, Alcohol Worker or Needle Exchange Worker
