Here lies a thrilling opportunity for an experienced and qualified Prison Cleared Advanced Nurse Practitioner ANP to make a difference within the prison nursing field in Stockton-On-Tees. Earning a competitive rate of £52.72 per hour, you will serve in a busy reception department with full time hours available. Your expertise, particularly in DART prescribing, will be invaluable as you work to meet the challenging and dynamic needs of the role. Note that the reception department functions until 9 pm, so flexibility in working until that time is essential. All relevant training, including Immediate Life Support ILS, must be up to date, ensuring you are well-prepared for this role.

What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments of inmates, taking into account their physical, psychological, and social needs.
  • Administer and monitor prescribed medications, with a strong focus on DART prescribing, ensuring adherence and safety.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals within the prison setting to deliver multi-disciplinary care.
  • Stay updated with mandatory training requirements including Immediate Life Support to provide effective emergency care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring privacy and confidentiality at all times.
