Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a passionate Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Outreach Worker to join our client’s dedicated PBS team in Guernsey. This is a unique opportunity to work with children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, supporting them in a range of community-based settings. You’ll play a key role in improving quality of life by conducting functional assessments, developing Positive Behaviour Support plans, and coaching families and staff to implement impactful behavioural interventions.

Your Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive functional assessments using the principles of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA).
- Develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans collaboratively with individuals, families, and key stakeholders.
- Focus on improving quality of life as both an intervention and an outcome.
- Coach families and staff to enhance their understanding and implementation of behavioural support interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Positive Behaviour Interventions in partnership with the PBS Practitioner.
- Prepare detailed reports, maintain clinical records, and attend review meetings.
- Ensure all support aligns with the CARE values, treating everyone with dignity and respect.
What You’ll Need
- Essential:
- Level 4 PBS BTEC or RBT Qualification.
- Valid driving licence.
- Experience supporting children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, and/or challenging behaviours.
- Skills in data collection and analysis.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Desirable:
- Level 5 PBS BTEC.
- Signalong and Talking Mats training.
- Experience coaching families and staff through challenging situations.
