The salary for this permanent Occupational Therapist job is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum.
Main Duties:
- To assess the client’s housing needs and provide recommendations for suitable housing and equipment, fixtures and fittings.
- Assessing, recording and reviewing manual handling and leading manual handling training courses at the client’s home.
- Competent at documenting recording case notes and presenting your cases in a variety of ways at a number of different forums.
- To represent the company in conferences and events.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum of 3-5 years Occupational Therapist experience specialising in Housing and Manual
- Current driving licence and access to transport with business insurance (travel expenses will be paid per HMR&C guidelines) Core Competencies
- Good clinical reasoning and application of activity analysis.
- Analytical Thinking – ability to apply logic to solve problems and to get the job done.
- Creative Thinking and Flexibility- abilities to see beyond boundaries, come up with creative solution.
- Initiative and Decision Making - Can make autonomous decisions and take responsibility for them.
- Excellent communication.
- Influence - Can enlist the support and cooperation of others and encourage them to be proactive.
- Interpersonal Awareness- The ability to have and show empathy to others with good listening skills.
- Positive mind set – having a glass half full attitude.
- Good team work and ability to support other team members when needed.
- Ability to analyse procedures and processes to ensure good and smooth outcome for the client.
