The salary for this permanent Occupational Therapist job is £28,407 - £35,392 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Conduct Assessments: Perform both standardised and non-standardised assessments to evaluate patient needs.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Create and implement person-centred treatment plans tailored to individual patients.
  • Facilitate Therapy Sessions: Lead both group and one-on-one therapy sessions to support patient progress.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Contribute actively to multi-disciplinary team meetings to coordinate care.
  • Supervise and Collaborate: Work closely with an occupational therapy assistant and provide supervision to other occupational therapy staff as needed.
  • Work Autonomously: While collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team including nurses, healthcare assistants, psychiatrists, specialty doctors, fitness instructors, and activity coordinators, also take initiative in applying your occupational therapy skills independently.
  • Complete Thorough Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and therapy outcomes.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy ort equivalent
  • Registered with HCPC 
  • Experience in Mental Health
  • Good communication skills
