Main responsibilities:

  • Leadership Support: Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations and management of the nursery.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff, ensuring high standards of care and education.

Requirements for the Nursery Manager in Charge role:

  • Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification: NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent (Level 5 or above preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the EYFS framework and OFSTED requirements.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • First Aid: Paediatric First Aid certification is essential.
  • Safeguarding: Thorough knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
