Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Surgeon seeking a fulfilling career opportunity? Sanctuary Personnel is excited to present a fantastic permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon position with one of the UK's largest veterinary retailers based in Sunderland.
The role is offering a full-time salary of £60,000 to £80,000 per annum.
Working Hours:
- This role offers real flexibility, offering shorter hours to fit around other commitments such as 9am – 3pm 3 days a week we CAN offer this for you
- Ideally this will be a surgically bias role where you can spend up to 3 days in surgery!
- Only 1:4 Saturdays, which may be sole charge
- No OOH and no Sundays or Bank Holidays
The team: Supported by a fantastic team of 6 vets, 10 RVNs, 6 SVNs and an amazing team of receptionists who will ensure you have everything needed to achieve your career goals

What we're looking for from the Lead Veterinary Surgeon applicants:
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognised university.
- Membership in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Previous experience as a veterinary surgeon is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary best practices and medical regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets.
- Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and effectively.
- Willingness to continually upgrade knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine.
