Location: Widnes

Contract Type: 3-month contract

Pay Rate: £30 per hour (assignment rate)

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days cover, Monday - Friday, 08:00 am - 18:00 pm.

Duties:

  • Will be based in an Intermediate care service and working within patients own homes and in Intermediate care bed based units, they will complete therapy assessments, carry out rehabilitation interventions, provide crisis interventions and attend multidisciplinary meetings to improve outcome for service users and reduce length of stay in this service area
  • Communicate regularly and effectively in order to maximise patient rehab potential and complete paperwork efficiently and comprehensively

Requirements of the Intermediate Care Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • A qualified band 6 Occupational Therapist experience preferred in Intermediate care, rapid response and hospital discharge
  • Have a hands on approach with rehabilitation goals and treatments and be able to complete and update care plans for rehabilitation care staff to follow
  • Be able to work both independently and as an effective team member alongside other professionals within health and social care services
