Position: Homeless & Housing Solutions Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Homeless & Housing Solutions Officer to support individuals at risk of homelessness in Bromsgrove. In this role, you will work closely with clients, landlords, and local communities to prevent homelessness and secure suitable housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to prevent homelessness and explore alternative housing options.
- Conduct home visits to negotiate with landlords and sustain tenancies.
- Implement government initiatives on homelessness and housing support.
- Engage with local residents and organisations to proactively prevent homelessness.
Applicant Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience in homelessness prevention, tenancy sustainment, or housing solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
- Strong negotiation skills for working with landlords and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, stakeholders, and partner agencies.
- A full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).
