About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Digital Skills Tutor to join our team in Haringey. This role involves supporting learners to develop essential digital skills that will enhance their employability, independence, and ability to engage with modern technologies. You will play a key role in empowering individuals to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging digital skills training sessions tailored to the needs of diverse learners, including beginners and those with limited technological confidence.
- Teach a range of digital skills, including:
- Basic computer use (e.g., email, word processing, internet navigation).
- Online safety and security.
- Using digital tools for communication and collaboration.
- Accessing and using online public services.
- Employability-focused skills such as creating CVs, using job boards, and online interview techniques.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring inclusivity.
- Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage continued development.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and learner achievements.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and incorporate them into teaching where relevant.
- Provide 1:1 support to learners who may need extra guidance.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in teaching or training digital skills to adults or young people.
- Should have one of the following qualifications (PTLLS, CTLLS and DTLLS or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of digital tools, platforms, and basic IT skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with learners from diverse backgrounds.
