Community Mental Health Nurse Pay Rate: £25 per hour (assignment rate)
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Contract Type: Locum 3 month contract
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Duties of the Community Mental Health Nurse:
- Holding a caseload of patients with organic and functional presentations under CPA and NCPA
- Assessing and managing risk.
- Using Dialog+ where possible and Recovery Care Planning with service users and carers.
- Managing your own diary and planning your day.
- Attending MDT meetings and ward review meetings.
- Duty working 2 half days per week.
- Communicate effectively through notes on Lorenzo and letters to GPs and other involved parties.
- Administering depot medication. (if appropriate)
- There is an opportunity to learn to take ECG readings and to learn phlebotomy.
Requirements of the Community Mental Health Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse
- NMC Registration
- Knowledge of dementia and of functional illness in older people
- Experience of duty work an advantage- being able to respond to urgent calls
- Ability to take ECG an advantage but not essential
