Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist / Neuropsychologist to work within our client's multi/interdisciplinary team. Their assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals are focused on helping individuals regain the skills they have lost through various brain injuries, whether sustained through trauma, illness, or substance abuse. Main Purpose:

As a key member of their team, you will provide clinical psychology and neuropsychology input within their neurobehavioural model to service users with acquired brain injury. You will liaise with internal and external professionals, family members, and service users, engage in relevant research, and advise other professionals as appropriate.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological/neuropsychological assessment of adults with acquired brain injury using a variety of sources including tests, self-report scales, observations, and interviews.
  • Coordinate service users' care as appropriate and agreed with your supervisor, taking on the role of keyworker/clinical lead.
  • Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological and/or neuropsychological intervention as part of the multi/interdisciplinary team, based on current evidence-based best practice.
  • Elicit personal goals from service users and translate them into specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timed (SMART) goals with the team.
  • Undertake a range of psychological therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions, adapted to the needs of the individual and the context, and continuously evaluate the outcomes.
  • Contribute specialist psychological advice to the multi/interdisciplinary formulation and therapeutic approaches or intervention plans, and oversee their implementation in collaboration with other staff.

About You:

  • Degree in Psychology, accepted by the BPS for Graduate Basis Registration (GBR) or equivalent.
  • Registered with the HCPC.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to the service user group.
