Main Duties:
As a Charge Nurse, you will:

  • Lead and manage clinic operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Create a seamless patient journey, fostering a welcoming and high-quality environment at every stage.
  • Collaborate with external organisations, including NHS Trusts and the CQC, with the support of the Regional Manager.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives by implementing and refining processes.
  • Onboard and support new team members to integrate smoothly and grow professionally.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and effectively manage any concerns or complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, governance, and regulatory standards, including KLoE (Key Lines of Enquiry).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Full NMC registration and relevant nursing qualifications
  • Previous clinical leadership experience in an outpatient haemodialysis setting
  • Registered Manager status with the Care Quality Commission (or willingness to achieve this)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and a diverse team
  • A lead-by-example approach that cultivates a positive and value-driven team culture
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset to adapt to evolving clinical situations
  • Strong organisational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development, ideally in Renal Care
