This is an exciting and ongoing full-time opportunity for a Band 6 Registered General Nurse with current prison clearance in Nottingham. What you will do:
- Administer direct nursing care to prisoners, including medication administration and health assessments.
- Monitor and document prisoners' health conditions, vital signs, and medical histories.
- Address acute and chronic health issues and provide health education specifically designed for the prison population.
- Work in tandem with multidisciplinary teams, including correctional staff, GPs, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure seamless continuity of care by coordinating with external health services when necessary.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and unscheduled care demands within the prison setting.

Requirements:
- Current prison clearance is essential for this role.
- Valid registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the NMC.
- Preferably experienced in correctional healthcare or a similar environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with healthcare procedures within a custodial setting.
