We are looking for an Assistant Team Manager with relevant experience of working in a similar setting to work in the front door of Wrexham Children's Services. SPOA acts as the first point of contact, receiving requests for information, advice and assistance to support children and families and also to investigate safeguarding concerns. SPOA brings key professionals together to facilitate early information sharing to support families and safeguard children. This is achieved by collating information from different agencies to inform interventions to achieve the best outcomes for children. An Assistant Team Manager in SPOA will predominantly be managing our inbox, making decisions on referrals in terms of the local authorities initial response, they will be supporting and supervising social workers, reviewing cases and making decisions whether allocation is needed and attending meetings including Strategy Discussions and Strategy Meetings. Knowledge of the law in Wales including Section 5 is essential. In order to be considered for these posts you must be a registered Social Worker in Wales and have relevant management experience. We work in a modern open plan office, the successful candidate would be required to work in the office three days per week and work two days from home. This is a full time position. £36/h PAYE is included, then please include it, but rewrite it with the additional and ensure it makes sense.

What you will do:
- Manage the inbox effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to referrals.
- Make informed decisions on referrals in alignment with local authority procedures.
- Provide support and supervision to social workers, fostering their professional growth.
- Review cases to determine if further allocation is necessary.
- Attend and contribute to various meetings such as Strategy Discussions and Strategy Meetings.
