Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse caseload, providing high-quality social work services to vulnerable children and families
- Undertaking assessments, planning, and implementing social work plans, ensuring children’s welfare and safety
- Working closely with other agencies to coordinate appropriate responses to assessed needs
- Engaging in direct work with children, families, and carers, focusing on building resilience and reducing dependency on services
- Representing Children’s Services in Family Courts and statutory panels as needed
- Maintaining accurate casework records and reports to meet government and statutory requirements
Requirements of the role:
- Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England
- Strong knowledge of statutory legislation and experience working with children in need, protection cases, or family proceedings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with families and other professionals
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
