Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Adult Social Worker within the Prevention Team to work full time based in Southend.

The salary for this permanent Adult Social Worker job is up to £42,403 per annum.

Main duties:

  • Apply a strengths/asset-based approach to practice, both in terms of individual assessments, care plans and reviews and the culture within the team.
  • Develop your strengths, abilities and aspirations to ensure you feel valued, inspired and able to take on the complexities of practice.
  • Promote a culture of enablement and independence within the team which reflects a practice approach in the community.
  • Become co-creators of change within the communities you serve and the system you work within.
  • Ensure that your competency workbook is completed to a high standard and that your aspirations and outcomes are measured, monitored and evaluated.
  • Be responsible for prioritising your work and ensuring you have sufficient capacity to effectively manage your workload.
  • Be willing to develop your strengths and abilities to ensure you feel inspired and able to take on the complexities of social work practice.
  • Undertake leadership training as required to maximise the skill-set required to embrace change and drive Southend Borough Council towards a learning organisation.
  • The successful candidate may be required to work in a variety of Social Work teams depending on the business need.

Requirements of this Adult Social Worker role:

  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Substantial experience in health or social care.
