Veterinary Surgeon

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a full-time, permanent position with our client on the beautiful island of Jersey. This role is with an independent small animal practice that operates across four branches, soon to be expanding to five, equipped with modern facilities, including MRI and CT. Despite this cutting-edge technology, the practice maintains a traditional ethos in its approach to veterinary care.

About the Role:

• Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 4.5-day working week with minimal out-of-hours requirements.
• Responsibilities: This position is ideal for a confident vet comfortable with sole charge, routine surgeries, and occasional out-of-hours duties.
• Accommodation: Free shared accommodation is provided on-site at the main branch in St Clements. The accommodation is pet-friendly, with an enclosed garden, three double bedrooms, a shared bathroom, a downstairs toilet, and an open-plan kitchen and lounge.
• Travel and Transport: Travel to and from Jersey is covered by the practice. Parking is available if you choose to bring your car via boat, or you can make use of the practice vehicle.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: Ideally, you will have several years of experience in small animal practice, with confidence in performing routine surgeries and handling sole charge when necessary.
• Qualifications: Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.
• Adaptability: Willingness to embrace the practice’s traditional ethos while utilising modern technology and techniques.
• Commitment: A dedication to providing high-quality veterinary care and contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the practice.
