About Our Client:
They are looking for a vet who is keen to establish long-term relationships with clients and their pets. This GP role is based on the coast, focusing on first opinion work with cats, dogs, and small furries, so excellent communication skills and experience in routine surgical procedures are essential.
Their Rottingdean clinic has one consulting room, an operating theatre, and a small hospital, while their newly opened Peacehaven site boasts four consulting rooms, a large theatre, and a prep/hospital area. They are equipped with digital radiography, an ultrasound scanner, an in-house laboratory, and air conditioning.
Their team currently includes 3 vets, 3 RVNs, with another on maternity leave, and 2 more joining them soon, plus a team of dedicated receptionists. As the only independent GP vets in the Brighton BN postcode and Peacehaven, they are rapidly building an excellent reputation and expanding their client base.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: You should have some experience working as a veterinary surgeon in a GP or first-opinion setting. Competence in routine surgeries and consulting is essential.
- Qualifications: MRCVS registration is required. Additional qualifications or certificates are a bonus, particularly in small animal practice.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will need to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
- Team Player: A collaborative attitude is essential, with a willingness to support your colleagues and contribute to the practice's positive work culture.
- Flexibility: Ability to work one evening clinic per week (until 6:30 pm) and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (until 12:30 pm).

- A competitive salary ranging from £41,600 to £70,000, plus overtime and bonuses, depending on experience and qualifications.
