The salary for this permanent Veterinary Surgeon job is negotiable, depending on experience. 

Position Overview:

  • Location: Merseyside, within 15 minutes of Liverpool City Centre, approximately 30 minutes from Chester City, and 5 minutes from the Wirral coastline. Both Liverpool and Manchester airports are easily accessible.
  • Practice Type: A busy practice primarily handling small companion animals, with some equine work by the Senior Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Facilities: The practice is well-equipped with 2 Consultation Rooms, 2 Operating Theatres, an X-Ray Room, a Preparation Room, a Laboratory, as well as Reception areas, Offices, and Storage areas. Equipment includes in-house blood machines, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and dental equipment.
  • Team: The practice employs 3 Veterinary Surgeons, along with Nursing, Reception, and Management staff. Additionally, a locum Veterinary Surgeon supports the team one day per week.

Working Hours and Roster:

  • Operating Hours: Monday - Friday from 09:00 am - 18:30 pm. There is also a short clinic each Saturday from 10:00 am - 13:00 pm, shared on a 1:3 rota basis.
  • Flexibility: Rosters are flexible and can generally be adjusted to suit individual requirements, allowing for a good work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally, candidates should have approximately 5 years of post-graduate experience, although those with slightly less experience may also be considered.
  • We are looking to fill full-time positions but are open to part-time candidates as well.

  • Salary: Competitive and negotiated in line with experience.
