Position Overview:

As a Veterinary Ophthalmologist, you'll specialise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, from glaucoma to cataracts, and perform advanced surgical procedures like cataract removal and corneal grafting. If you're open to handling a small number of general practice cases, that's a significant plus.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
  • Preferably board-certified by the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO) or American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ACVO).
  • Completion of a formal residency training program in ophthalmology.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with pet owners and team members.
  • Compassion and sensitivity in dealing with animals and their families.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior manual dexterity for performing precise surgical procedures.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
