Position Overview:
As a Veterinary Ophthalmologist, you'll specialise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, from glaucoma to cataracts, and perform advanced surgical procedures like cataract removal and corneal grafting. If you're open to handling a small number of general practice cases, that's a significant plus.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
- Preferably board-certified by the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO) or American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ACVO).
- Completion of a formal residency training program in ophthalmology.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Compassion and sensitivity in dealing with animals and their families.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior manual dexterity for performing precise surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
