Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Children with Disabilities Team to work full time based in Redbridge.

The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £61,617 per annum.

Main duties:

  • To provide leadership, management and professional guidance to a team of social workers and manage the development of skilled and confident practitioners.
  • To ensure the delivery of high quality delivery of social work services which safeguard children, promote positive outcomes and are responsive, timely and within statutory guidelines.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the ensuring that the council meets its statutory obligations to safeguard children and promote their welfare by complying with legislation, policy and procedures and relevant frameworks.
  • The role of the Team Manager is to provide leadership for the Practice Managers within their service. In a challenging and pressurised environment with competing priorities ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality children’s services in the Redbridge Children & Families Service.
  • The Team Manager is accountable to the Service Manager for the day to day management and supervision of their team.
  • The Team Manager is to ensure a high quality of practice with children, young people and families, which is of a consistently high quality, whilst effectively managing risk, cost effectiveness and improved outcomes for children.
  • Working with the Service Manager, set key performance targets to achieve timely and positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.
  • To be responsible for the management and ongoing development of services to support Children & Families in delivering and improving services to children and families. This involves personally undertaking policy work, managing the effective local delivery and commissioning of services.
  • As Team Manager you will take responsibility of developing the stability and practice of the team and provide support, challenge and mentoring to the Practice Managers.
  • To be responsible for the management and contribution of local service development projects. Including the operational progression of the Service Strategies and Departmental Business Plans, ensuring objectives, targets and standards are being progressed.
  • To lead and take responsibility for strategic direction of service delivery and delivery of innovate interventions.

Requirements of this Team Manager role:

  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Substantial experience in health or social care.
