As a Team Manager within the Children with Disabilities 0-18 Team, your expertise will guide the team in delivering exceptional care and services to children with additional needs. You will be engaged from referral through to permanence, playing a crucial role in shaping care strategies and fostering developmental transitions.
What you will do:
- Oversee the daily management of a dynamic team, ensuring high-quality support and services are provided to children and families.
- Collaborate closely with Social Work Consultants and senior management to uphold excellent outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
- Lead care planning processes, including the commissioning of necessary services to meet the unique needs of each child, such as respite and residential placements.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for children into adult SEND services, taking charge of EHCP proceedings when necessary.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and application of the Care Act alongside SEND-related legislation to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance, ensuring all activities meet statutory and organisational expectations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in Children with Disabilities roles, particularly with experience in care planning and service commissioning. You’ll possess a strong understanding of transition processes for children into adult SEND services and be well-versed in EHCP proceedings. Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are imperative for success in this role.
