About the Role
As a Systemic Family Therapist within a CAMHS eating disorder setting, you will provide essential therapeutic support to young people facing severe mental health, developmental, and behavioral challenges. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver systemic interventions, manage a complex caseload, and support both short- and long-term crisis planning for vulnerable youth and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized systemic interventions to support families of young people with complex mental health and developmental needs
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and create individualized crisis plans
  • Bring systemic perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning, and decision-making processes
  • Facilitate support groups, including carer support groups, and engage in direct family therapy sessions
  • Monitor clinical progress and provide regular reviews of systemic interventions
  • Support team development through training, consultations, and reflective practice sessions
  • Contribute to service advancements within the Therapies Team and the broader organization

Requirements:

  • Completion of a qualifying course in Systemic Psychotherapy at Master’s or Doctorate level, accredited by AFT
  • UKCP registration
  • Experience in a CAMHS setting, working with adolescents and families with complex mental health needs, high-risk behaviors, and neurodevelopmental conditions
