Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a full-time Support Officer based in a Residential home in Camden.
The salary for this permanent Support Officer role is £26,037
Main Duties:
- Carrying out assessment to identify and prioritise needs
- Using SMART goal planning to provide needs led holistic support
- Developing and maintaining positive links with key stakeholders
- Creating an environment that promotes opportunities for customers to develop, learn and enable skills towards independence
- Where required observing customers taking their medication & ensure appropriate records are maintained.
- Providing a comprehensive support planning service to customers in line with the department’s policies, procedures and approach
- In accommodation-based services, liaise closely with the Housing Management Team to identify problems with Housing Benefit payments, review rent collection, and address other tenancy-related matters
- Supporting customers to develop the necessary skills to live independently, and to access training, education and work
Must haves:
- Experience of working within a supported living service within the mental health sector
- Experience working with vulnerable adults with challenging behaviours
- Experience of undertaking customer assessments, support planning and key-working with a clear outcome focus
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload. Must be able to work shift rota
- The ability to communicate effectively in writing including the preparation of letters, reports and file notes
- The ability to contribute to effective team working
- The ability to provide regular monitoring information as required
- Confidence to lone work once fully trained within the role
- The ability to represent One Housing to other agencies and companies where necessary
