What you will do:

- Provide support, advice, and supervision to foster carers, ensuring safe and thriving placements aligned with National Minimum Standards for Fostering and Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011.
- Conduct unannounced visits and annual reviews, contributing to quality assurance processes.
- Assist in the delivery of training sessions for prospective and existing foster carers, fostering high standards of professional practice.
- Champion children’s welfare and have up-to-date knowledge of fostering regulations and legal options available to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Exhibit exceptional communication and relationship skills, managing your time effectively across multiple responsibilities.

Skills & Experience:

- Hold a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
- Have satisfactorily completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Demonstrate robust post-qualifying social work experience within children and families.
- Possess exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Have a sound understanding of fostering regulations and legislation.
- Experience working within fostering services or with transferrable skills from previous roles.
- Strong time-management, recording, and planning skills.
- A willingness to work throughout the South Fostering area, ensuring you can meet service needs efficiently.
