Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Treat Children: Conduct initial assessments and provide therapy for children aged 2.5 to 11 years. Create individualized care plans based on the child’s needs.
- Intervention Schedule: Provide 4, 6, or 10 therapy sessions, depending on the referral type. Schedule and manage follow-up sessions as necessary.
- Discharge Process: When a child is ready for discharge, book time the following week to complete discharge reports and necessary paperwork.
- Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping for all assessments, interventions, and discharge activities.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration
- Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
