What you will do:
- Conduct assessments and formulation of evidence-based intervention plans to support adults with varying communication needs.
- Implement therapy programs to aid functional communication skills development for adults with learning disabilities.
- Facilitate staff training programs, empowering colleagues to enhance communication environments and utilise visual communication aids effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress and ongoing needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for all individuals.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration is essential.
- Recent UK or NHS post-qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Must be a car driver with the ability to travel to various sites within Walsall/Birmingham.
- Comfortable working part-time, providing 2-3 days a week of focused SaLT support.
