The salary for this permanent Speech and Language Therapist job is £43,742 - £50,056 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the SLT team in providing high-quality therapy services, managing both individual and group sessions.
- Provide expert dysphagia and communication assessments to clients with complex neurological conditions.
- Be the key worker for select clients, guiding them through their rehabilitation journey, liaising with families, and coordinating discharge plans.
- Collaborate closely with the multi-disciplinary team—from physios and OTs to dietitians and psychologists—to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
- Conduct mental capacity assessments and advocate on behalf of clients during meetings and reports.
- Lead service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and clinical audits to ensure we’re always pushing boundaries.
- Train and mentor your team, providing clinical supervision and supporting ongoing professional development.
- Manage team operations, including recruitment, appraisals, and performance reviews.
What You'll Bring:
- A Degree in Speech & Language Therapy and registration with both HCPC and RCSLT.
- Additional training in dysphagia and ongoing CPD relevant to traumatic brain injury (TBI).
- Expertise in neuro-rehabilitation, with a knack for creating and delivering tailored communication and swallowing support.
- Leadership experience with a passion for developing and managing a talented team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- The drive to innovate, motivate, and foster a positive environment for both clients and staff.
