Main Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff within the MASH.
- Oversee the assessment and decision-making process for incoming referrals.
- Ensure effective multi-agency collaboration and communication.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practices.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies.
- Participate in strategic planning and service development.
- Handle complex cases and make critical decisions regarding safeguarding.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, or an equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England
- Proven statutory UK experience in Children social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
- Must have recent experience as a Team Manager within either a screening or MASH type role.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about best practices in social work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability
