Pay Rate: £40 - £45 per hour (assignment rate)

Main Duties:

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff within the MASH.
  • Oversee the assessment and decision-making process for incoming referrals.
  • Ensure effective multi-agency collaboration and communication.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies.
  • Participate in strategic planning and service development.
  • Handle complex cases and make critical decisions regarding safeguarding.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure timely and appropriate responses.

Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Proven statutory UK experience in Children social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Must have recent experience as a Team Manager within either a screening or MASH type role.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about best practices in social work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability
