Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the MASH Team to work full time based in Gloucestershire.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £42,503 per annum.
Main duties:
- Build positive relationships with children and families through direct work to ensure that their voices, wishes, and feelings are heard.
- Provide a clear, accurate and holistic assessment of a child and their family needs in line with statutory and local guidance and in collaboration with the child, their family and other agencies.
- Carry a caseload of children’s and families in line with experience of the social work and organisational needs of the service function, including children in need in child protection plans and children in care.
- Carry a caseload that will progress in number and complexity, and which meets the needs of the service.
- To undertake direct work with children, young people and families in order to manage risk and achieve the sustained and positive outcomes identified in assessments and plans.
- Prepare high quality reports for relevant meeting and to present them to a variety of other professionals.
- Prepare high quality statements and paperwork of legal proceedings and be able to represent the child, young person and their families and the council in court and other settings.
- Continue to monitor and review the progress of plans and outcomes for children and young people.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, statutory guidance, research and council policy and procedure to ensure our statutory responsibilities to children and young people are met.
- Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide written and verbal reports which are concise, evidence based and informative.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the jobs, participate in appropriate training and development activities.
- Support, promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
Requirements of this role:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
