What you will do:

  • Work closely with the National Online School Headteacher and Provision Manager to create and deliver a tailored pupil induction programme.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture and coordinate the election and activities of a pupil council to promote active student participation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with families through our Families and School Together (FAST) initiative, emphasizing home/school partnerships.
  • Lead and coordinate Family Council meetings, parent/carer surveys, and family training events to strengthen family engagement.
  • Develop and review smart action plans and support strategies for students and families requiring targeted interventions under the FAST offer.
  • Oversee the coordination and implementation of the bespoke FAST offer, focusing on family liaison and partnership.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical and Inclusion Team to devise pathway plans and facilitate Teams Around the Child networks.
  • Advocate for Looked After children, ensuring they access the school’s curriculum and reach their potential.
  • Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Prevent Lead, providing advice and expertise on matters of safety and safeguarding.
  • Lead interventions within the school to support pupil well-being and refer cases of suspected abuse to appropriate authorities.
  • Coordinate multiagency assessments for pupils with various care plans and represent their best interests in statutory meetings.
  • Monitor pupil attendance, work with families to address barriers, and ensure compliance with statutory attendance guidance.
  • Participate in the development of safeguarding and child protection practices across the school.
  • Prepare and deliver safeguarding training to new and current staff, emphasizing their responsibilities.
  • Maintain high-quality records of case work, ensuring data protection compliance, and provide analysis to the Senior Leadership Team.
