Job Duties:
- Provide social care service and exemplar social work practice ensuring that excellence of service is provided across the department.
- Contribute to change management, concluding ECC’s transformation and ensuring it is configured for continuous improvement adhering to the Key Performance Indicators as provided by ECC under the Section 75 partnership agreement.
- Provide support and guidance to our community mental health nurses and taking the lead on key aspects of patient care. The team are used to working in a very fast paced environment so experience in community mental health is vital.
- Lead and offer support to health colleagues in relation to S.117 needs and reviews, alongside completing Care Act Assessments and MCA’s, and arranging funded care following these assessments
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Adults Services
- Mental Health experience and knowledge of the Care Act
- An in-depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages.
- The ability to make clear decisions, to highlight and limit potential risks associated with intervention.
- This role involves travelling around Essex and beyond. A driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means - is essential.
