What you will do:
- Manage a Children & Families caseload effectively, ensuring appropriate resources are deployed to protect and foster the welfare of children.
- Collaborate with external agencies, including health, education, and voluntary sectors, to deliver coordinated services.
- Utilize a broad range of social work skills to achieve agreed objectives with families and service users.
- Conduct direct work with children, considering their wishes and feelings to tailor support and interventions.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of need, using the Single Assessment Process to inform safe and supportive strategies.
- Prepare detailed court submissions and represent the Council in family court settings, when necessary, to uphold the welfare of children.
- Foster strong working relationships with other departments and teams within the council and associated external partners.
- Maintain accurate records and participate actively in relevant team meetings and professional development opportunities.
