Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Supervising Social Worker within the Fostering Team to work full time for Hillingdon.
The salary for this permanent Senior Supervising Social Worker job is up to £49,083 per annum.
Main duties:
- As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, your primary responsibility is to manage a caseload of approved and registered foster carers.
- This will include providing dedicated support through regular visits, video conferencing, and telephone calls. Additionally, you will play a role in the assessment process, conducting initial assessments for potential foster carers and presenting these assessments to the Fostering Panel.
- Actively contributing to the recruitment, selection, and training of prospective foster carers, ensuring they are well-equipped for their role, you will be committed to maintaining high professional standards for the service. As a leader within the team, you will provide supervision to other Social Workers, embedding an environment of continuous development.
- The role extends beyond the immediate team, requiring you to establish effective communications channels with internal and external colleagues to support effective practice. Additionally, ensuring the safeguarding of children and prioritising their welfare in all activities is a fundamental responsibility, including recording, investigating, and acting upon critical incidents and allegations.
- Model and help others develop social work professionalism and effective caseload management.
Requirements of this role:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
- Past fostering experience.
