Responsibilities Include:
- Work autonomously as a speech and language therapist within a multidisciplinary team
- Assess the impact of a person’s communication on their daily life and provide appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with the person and their social network to overcome communication barriers
- Develop and implement management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments when necessary
- Provide training to staff and the service users’ social network
- Contribute to service and organisational development
About You:
They are looking for a candidate who possesses the following:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Achieved Dysphagia Competencies
- Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI (e.g., social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training)
- Ability to manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload
- Minimum of 4 years’ qualified experience in complex case management
