The Role:

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a Senior Specialist SaLT to provide strategic, professional leadership to our client's multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a highly regarded service.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work autonomously as a speech and language therapist within a multidisciplinary team
  • Assess the impact of a person’s communication on their daily life and provide appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with the person and their social network to overcome communication barriers
  • Develop and implement management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments when necessary
  • Provide training to staff and the service users’ social network
  • Contribute to service and organisational development

About You:

They are looking for a candidate who possesses the following:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Achieved Dysphagia Competencies
  • Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI (e.g., social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training)
  • Ability to manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload
  • Minimum of 4 years’ qualified experience in complex case management
