Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Adults Autism Team to work full time based in Hull.
The salary for this permanent Senior Social Worker job is up to £38,296 per annum.
Main duties:
- Actively engages in practice development forums/meetings ensuring focussed and purposeful discussions lead to improved social work practice providing professional input as required.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that people’s outcomes are achieved e.g. facilitating joint reviews/assessments. Contributes to reports and statutory returns, collaborating and supporting colleagues in performance and health to research and analyse data to support strategic planning and development.
- Engages in complex cases that require autonomous decision-making, multi-agency/disciplinary co-ordination and or legal preparation and planning. This would also include undertaking S42 enquiries into safeguarding concerns.
- Contributes to team planning, effectiveness and responsiveness. Supports team manager with improving practice and performance of individuals/team by providing day to day education and supervision.
- Facilitates meetings, boards and engagement of people and providers to develop awareness of autism and to identify areas of improvement in services, advice and information. Promoting and using Connect to Support as a key tool to provide information and advice to citizens, and a way of enabling access to providers and local support organisations.
- As directed prepares and attends decision making forums including supporting co-workers with decisions relating to complex/high risk cases.
- Ensures that case recording is accurate, up to date, in line with legislation and is available for a variety of purposes e.g. multi-agency, meetings, strategy meetings, panels, reviews, court.
- Supports Line Manager to review working practices to deliver a continuously improving responsive service that recognises individual need, strengths and resilience communicates and encourages innovation, motivation, understanding and vision.
Requirements of this role:
- Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
- Experience of community and/or group work.
- Knowledge of children’s health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
