Job Purpose:
Your primary mission is to undertake a range of statutory duties in line with the Children Act 1989, focusing on children and families in need or requiring protection. As an innovative leader, you will not only provide guidance and support to less experienced workers but also spearhead new ways of working inspired by recognisable sites of excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Handle complex cases, including care proceedings, assess needs, plan resources, and review progress in line with policies.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to deliver effective children's services and foster partnership working.
  • Offer informal support and on-the-job training to junior team members.
  • Engage directly with children and families to foster relationships that drive positive outcomes.
  • Champion a practice philosophy that empowers service users and promotes risk management strategies.
  • Contribute to the Service's engagement strategy with a focus on key relationship responsibilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of available services and execute evidence-based matching.
  • Keep thorough records that inform the quality assurance framework with both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and adapt personal practices accordingly.
  • Stay informed on research, legislation, and policy that influence the sector and apply this knowledge to assessments and care plans.
