Working Hours: Our shifts vary between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm and 11:00 am – 7:30 pm throughout the week, ensuring flexibility and work-life balance. Our Saturday rotation is 1:5 Saturdays working 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with the support of a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to assist you.
Requirements of the Registered Veterinary Nurse:
- Must hold a relevant qualification in veterinary nursing (e.g., Level 3 Diploma or a degree in Veterinary Nursing).
- Must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) or equivalent governing body.
- Relevant clinical experience working in a veterinary practice or hospital.
- Proficiency in general nursing duties such as patient care, administering medication, and monitoring anaesthesia.
- Experience in handling various animal species (small animals, exotics, or large animals, depending on the practice).
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, diseases, and treatments.
- Strong general nursing skills and excellent customer service
- Positive, down-to-earth, and passionate about animal care
