The practice is bright, spacious, and built to the highest industry-leading standards. We are a very well-equipped practice including a digital X-ray, a dental X-ray, an ultrasound and an in-house lab.
Our clients colleagues put the welfare of animals and their team first, so to ensure that not only the animals get the focus they have a separate nurse and reception team. This will allow you the time to focus on your client but also get a well-earned break! The practice is well established having been here for 14 years, with some of our clients colleagues having worked at the practice for 12 years. About you: We’re looking for an experienced or newly qualified RVN who’s used to the day-to-day procedures of a small animal practice. Being a clinical coach or an interest in working towards this will be beneficial, but not essential. By joining this team you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to full potential, taking and processing blood samples, catheters, x-rays and monitoring anaesthetics, nurse clinics and in-patient care, including building a good relationship with clients and team. Requirements of the Registered Veterinary Nurse:
- Must hold a relevant qualification in veterinary nursing (e.g., Level 3 Diploma or a degree in Veterinary Nursing).
- Must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) or equivalent governing body.
- Relevant clinical experience working in a veterinary practice or hospital.
- Proficiency in general nursing duties such as patient care, administering medication, and monitoring anaesthesia.
- Experience in handling various animal species (small animals, exotics, or large animals, depending on the practice).
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, diseases, and treatments.
- Strong general nursing skills and excellent customer service
- Positive, down-to-earth, and passionate about animal care
