What you will do:
- Implant Fitting and Removal: Successfully carry out the fitting and removal of subdermal contraceptive implants.
- Coil Fitting and Removal: Perform the fitting and removal of intrauterine devices (IUDs/IUSs).
- Patient Self-Referral: Facilitate a smooth self-referral process for patients seeking LARC services.
- Self-Assessment Completion: Guide patients in completing self-assessments prior to appointments.
- Telephone Verification: Conduct phone calls to verify patient information and book appointments.
- Prescribing: Use your skills as a qualified prescriber to provide necessary medications.
- Appointment Duration: Allocate 45 minutes for coil fittings and 30 minutes for implant fittings.
- Booking Management: Benefit from having CLCH handle the patient appointment bookings.
Experience Required:
- To succeed in this role, you must have demonstrable experience in LARC, including implant and coil fitting and removal.
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a nursing qualification are mandatory.
- You should be competent in managing complex clinical scenarios, possess a degree in nursing, and demonstrate ongoing professional development, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and anaphylaxis training.
